Do you feel GUILTY for being LUCKY in life? (You're not alone)
Discover why you're feeling this way and what you can do to overcome it.
When I first heard it, I was surprised too. The following might sound weird, but it’s a REAL problem for a lot of people:
FEELING GUILTY that they’re LUCKY and that they have it all too easy in life.
Here are other versions…
==> TROUBLE ACCEPTING praise or recognition.
==> Feeling UNWORTHY to DESERVE good things in life.
==> If they’re TOO HAPPY, it won’t last forever.
Have you SECRETLY FEARED any of the above or something similar?
Someone who was suffering their own well-being asked for advice on how to overcome their depression.
At first, I couldn’t believe it was a real problem.
Why would someone suffer their already-great life?
Upon further research, I realized many people are going through similar situations.
Since everything comes to them with NO STRUGGLE, they FEEL INCOMPLETE deep down, and that leads to DEPRESSION.
Their depression further leads to addictions and other mental health issues.
There isn’t enough going on in their lives to stimulate their dopamine.
They’re neither CHALLENGED, nor COMPLACENT with their lives — there’s SOMETHING MISSING, there’s a BIG VOID — that’s how they feel all the time.
I’m not a neurologist or a brain expert.
But I’ve been exposed to neurochemistry and how the brain’s reward system works — this knowledge is important for me to diagnose what’s going on in people’s minds when I coach them.
I’ve taken permission to share with you what I’m sharing in this post, hoping it’ll help others who’re going through similar situations.
Even if ONE person benefits from this post, my purpose is served.
If you’re one of those individuals who feels guilty for being lucky in life and think that you don’t deserve all the good things…
STOP!
Don't be so hard on yourself.
Having everything easy and being lucky is NOT a curse — it’s a BLESSING.
STOP feeling guilty.
EMBRACE your luck.
No need to feel guilty about being lucky.
It’s not set in stone that one has to STRUGGLE to get everything in life.
What I’d like you to REALIZE is these are JUST YOUR OWN THOUGHTS.
YOU create them — and they’re SELF-DESTRUCTIVE.
It’s called SELF-SABOTAGE — you create a situation in your life where YOUR OWN thoughts go against you.
I want to reassure you that you’re not alone…
A LOT of people go through disturbing emotions as a result of such DESTRUCTIVE THOUGHT PATTERNS.
Many people believe that if their lives seem too good to be true, then something is wrong, and that it’ll end soon as they don’t deserve it.
When everything is going well in life, and if there is no struggle, they don’t feel worthy of having anything.
I want you to clearly see these are nothing but TRICKS played by YOUR MIND to derail you.
The solution to this problem is AWARENESS.
Be CONSCIOUS and AWARE of your limiting thoughts.
Just observe all of your NEGATIVE SELF-TALK.
Ask yourself:
“Who is thinking these thoughts? Why should I listen?”
The above question might seem silly to you, but you won’t realize the true POWER of SELF-INTROSPECTION until you actually try it.
The more you self-introspect, the more it’ll quieten your mind. The quieter your mind becomes, the more your self-sabotaging thoughts will reduce.
Throughout the day, and before you go to bed, repeat the following to yourself (if required, rephrase it to something you connect with):
“I am worthy of all the good things life has to offer”
“I fully deserve only the best things in life”
“I deserve all the luck, praise, and recognition”
“I am happy and joyful no matter what”
“I am complete the way I am”
“I am enough”
Remind yourself that you are complete the way you are.
There is NO LACK in you or your life.
The lack is ONLY in your limited thinking.
Slowly, very slowly, but certainly…
…you’ll start re-training your mind in a few days…you’re now telling it a DIFFERENT STORY about yourself…
…a story that’s BRIMMING with POSITIVITY.
Your mind will START BELIEVING your new story about yourself.
It WILL eventually overpower your limiting beliefs and negative self-talk.
Every day, spend time FEELING GRATEFUL for things that have made you lucky.
It’ll SHIFT your energy from depression to joy and happiness.
Commit yourself to a 40-DAY CHALLENGE…
…it can be anything…
…sports, building muscle, losing fat, music, art, yoga, meditation, learning a new skill…
…anything you feel drawn to…anything you’ve always wanted to do.
Stick to it for 40 days, no matter what — don’t give up.
The feeling of accomplishment, by merely sticking to your new routine, will regulate your dopamine.
Once you accomplish the challenge after 40 days, DM/Email me and let me know how you feel.
Remember, we all live once.
It is a VERY BRIEF life — make the BEST use of it.
There are millions of people who are begging to live a lucky life.
Don’t wallow in self-pity.
YOU DESERVE a great life.
YOU DESERVE all the luck.
YOU DESERVE only the very best.
Make your mental health, physical health, and happiness, your first priority in life.
Don’t listen to your mind’s discouraging lectures — just ignore it. :)
