START HERE: The Night I Crawled To The Bathroom
And why I refuse to let you wait for rock bottom | Welcome to Germinate - The Internet’s BOLDEST Advocate for Preventative Mental Health
I remember the night I couldn’t sleep, sit, stand or walk.
It was 2 AM.
I couldn’t cover myself with a blanket as my feet hurt badly - yes, a soft blanket hurt my feet.
It felt like the sting of a thousand needles poking me from inside my big toe joint.
I had to CRAWL to the bathroom to pee.
I’m a Senior IT Project Manager in a reputed Canadian Bank.
I’ve always been drawn to people management.
I’m someone who believes every person has an innate potential that’s waiting to explode, and I believe it is my mission to ignite a spark in people who are not yet aware of it.
I always look for ways to make people perform at their best, because I know people drown themselves into a sea of misleading illusions about their true capabilities, unwarranted stress, overwhelm, and anxiety.
How do I know?
I was in exactly the same boat many years ago. I was a victim of overthinking. It ruined everything - my work, life, and relationships.
I used to be overwhelmed by anxiety. Anxiety led to addictions. Addictions led to more anxiety. It was an endless cycle I didn’t know how to come out of.
I became an alcoholic, chain smoker, and a compulsive meat-eater (I grew up as a vegetarian).
For years, I unconsciously abused my body beyond recognition.
I was only in my early thirties, but was already a borderline-diabetic.
What else?
Hypertension. Eye styes. Gout. And what not?
My body couldn’t take the abuse anymore - it started to fall apart.
My mental health crashed to an all-time low.
It was a wake up call.
What really woke me up was I started contracting ailments I didn’t even know existed.
I had no idea what gout was - whatever the hell it was, it was f***ing painful. I had never experienced that sort of pain in my life.
Never mind the overdose of medication and its nasty side effects…
… I ended up using crutches for months.
I had everything in my life one could ask for - a beautiful wife, adorable children, a rewarding career.
Yet, I had hit rock bottom while sitting at the top by social standards.
That's the grey zone.
The place where you're successful but struggling. Winning but not thriving. Too functional for rehab, too broken for comfort.
After years of struggle, I turned around my life by god’s grace.
I was initiated into a powerful yogic practice by my Guru, fondly known as Sadhguru, Shri Jaggi Vasudev.
It is a 21-minute daily practice that transformed my physical, mental, and emotional life.
I religiously follow the practice to this day - I’d skip my meal, but never my yoga practice.
I’d be ever grateful to Sadhguru for transforming my life into what it is today. 🙏
I’m free of all addictions.
My personal life, work and relationships took a leap.
All my ailments disappeared - I didn’t need to continue my medications.
I’m now at a place in life where I can maintain my inner peace and calm regardless of any external chaos - believe me, it wasn’t easy to get here.
Am I free from anxiety and overthinking?
No.
But I’ve learned how to NOT let it control me anymore.
I’ve learned how to disengage myself from my mind’s incessant chatter.
With enough practice, I’ve learned it’s even possible to CEASE the chatter.
I still stumble sometimes, but I’m now way more resilient - I know how to gather myself up and return to my grounding no matter what happens around me.
One thing I realized from my experience was: most people go through a mental turmoil in their daily lives.
They become victims of their circumstances.
They’re not yet aware they’re mentally restricting themselves using invisible chains.
They’re not aware they’re prisoners of their own thoughts, and that it doesn’t have to be that way.
I started helping other professionals overcome anxiety, addictions and low self-worth.
When I noticed my methods worked, I got curious about the human brain - I wanted to learn how it works, why do people suffer and how to harness its power to become unstoppable.
I studied NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Hypnotherapy and the 3 Principles.
I got trained and certified as a Coach.
But here's what drives me: I know you don't have to lose everything to gain everything back - I refuse to let you wait for your own rock bottom moment.
I want to let the world know there’s a better way to live - you can prevent mental health issues before they become crisis.
Germinate exists for this reason - it is the internet’s BOLDEST advocate for Preventative Mental Health.
My mission is to help 1 million humans escape anxiety, addiction and low self-worth before they escalate.
I wish to tackle the grey areas that leave high-functioning people hesitant to reach out - the "not bad enough" zone where you're struggling but your problems feel too trivial for therapy or medical intervention.
In a world where most people wait for crisis to prioritize their well-being, my goal is to help you build mental fitness and emotional resilience before you need fixing.
Get ready to build unstoppable mental fitness.
